NAHAD Names New Officers & Board Members

Over 930 NAHAD members from around the world recently convened at the JW Marriott Hill Country in San Antonio, TX for the association’s 33rd Annual Convention. The leading manufacturers and distributors of hose assemblies and related products and services participated in four days of educational sessions, networking programs and the annual Showcase of Hose Solutions exhibits, where over 160 suppliers presented their latest offerings.

Members also welcomed the newly-elected leaders serving on the NAHAD board of directors. For the coming year, the following will serve as NAHAD officers:

President – Scott Moss, Vice President - Moss Rubber & Equipment / Motion Industries – Benicia, CA
1st Vice President – Karen Brandvold, CFO, V.P. - Omni Services, Inc. – Worcester, MA
2nd Vice President – Sam Petillo, President - Singer Equities, Inc. – Cleveland, OH
Immediate Past President – Skip Bruce - Catawba Industrial Rubber Co. – Charlotte, NC

Newly-elected members of the NAHAD board of directors, serving three-year terms include:

Distributor Member: David Heckler, President – Alliance Hose & Rubber Company – Elmhurst, IL
Distributor Member: Ron Rae, Technical Sales Dir. – Hose Supplies New Zealand, LTD – Mt Maunganui, New Zealand
Manufacturer Member: Andrew Smulski, Director of Sales – Eaton Corporation Hydraulics Business – Minneapolis, MN

And, the board appointed the following member to a one-year term representing the NAHAD Emerging Leaders:

Lindsey Gallik, Regional Sales Manager – Holmbury, Inc. – Eastlake, OH

NAHAD members include companies, worldwide, engaged in the distribution and manufacture of all types of hose, tubing, couplings, fittings, clamps and related accessories serving the industrial marketplace, as well as firms who offer services and products to the industry. Members commit to compliance with the NAHAD Code of Business Conduct promoting high professional business and product standards and ethical conduct in dealing with customers, suppliers and competitors. Members who agree to fabricate their hose assemblies in compliance with NAHAD’s Hose Assembly Guidelines and who meet specific safety and quality requirements may also become members of NAHAD's Hose Safety Institute, dedicated to hose safety, quality and reliability.

The mission of NAHAD is to promote a high standard of professionalism and integrity within the hose and accessories industry by providing a medium for communications, education and training, so that quality is maximized and profitability enhanced.
