NAHAD Introduces the Hose Safety Institute at 2011 Eaton Corp.'s EDM

Eaton fluid conveyance professionals will be among the first to learn about the new NAHAD Hose Safety Institute at the upcoming Eaton Distributor Meeting in Nashville.

The Hose Safety Institute (HSI) incorporates NAHAD’s Hose Assembly Guidelines program (minimum performance standards for Industrial, Hydraulic, Composite, Fluoropolymer, Corrugated Metal, Ducting and Custom Made hose assemblies) along with its Institute Members (companies who support and utilize the Guidelines) and the Hose Safety Institute Advisory Council (comprised of end-users and preeminent representatives of academia, government agencies and industry).

NAHAD and the Hose Safety Institute will exhibit throughout the four-day EDM event and will present a special presentation on Wednesday, September 14 at 11:00 am, describing in detail that various benefits of NAHAD and Institute membership.

NAHAD recently rolled out its all new web site at www.NAHAD.org, which also incorporates the HSI program information at www.HoseSafetyInstitute.org. The HSI site contains open access to the seven Hose Assembly Guidelines Specification Guidelines, industry Best Practices and a complete Glossary of Terms, along with a variety of training, marketing and information resources available to Institute Members only. Print versions of the Specification Guides are also available for purchase on the site.
