Singer Equities has acquired Texas Rubber Supply headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Texas Rubber Supply was founded by Emery Johnson in 1952 and has enjoyed a rich heritage as a premier industrial rubber distributor in the region under the leadership of Brent and Bertie Howell. Texas Rubber Supply will continue to go to market under its present name with existing management and personnel remaining in place. Texas Rubber, with locations in Dallas and Ft. Worth, will become part of the growing Singer presence in the state of Texas and will operate along with their National Hose and Accessory affiliate headquartered in Houston managed by Mike Johnson, VP/General Manager. Singer will add its resources to the Texas Rubber organization to expand their operations in the region.

Singer Equities has 37 locations throughout the country all specializing in industrial rubber products and services to include industrial hose, hydraulic hose, fluid power, conveyor belt and gaskets. Don Fritzinger, President of Singer Equities said “With the distribution industry undergoing years of recent consolidation, Singer has proved to be the acquirer of choice to the benefit of the ownership and valued personnel base of the new enterprise. Gates Logo - BlackThe Gates Corporation has announced that it will be an exhibitor at IFPE 2014 during CONEXPO-CON/AGG, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 4-8.

The hose and belt manufacturer will introduce its new industrial hose naming and color-coding system. The new structure uses descriptive, intuitive, and sensible names to streamline hose selection, reduce hassles, and help eliminate downtime. The company has created icons for each major industry category and a color to match. All Gates industrial hoses will henceforth be imprinted with new, color-coded laylines identifying the industry or application.

Gates“Most of the product names in the marketplace today – including ours – are totally meaningless,” said Gates Industrial Hose Product Line Manager Tony Widhalm. “You’ll find products named after animals, insects, and everything in between. At Gates, we’re rebranding our entire industrial hose product line to exist within 14 ‘family’ names that identify the actual application like Chem Master, Fuel Master, Mine Master, etc. And the new hose laylines will also be color-coded by product category for easy identification.”
