National Dialysis Technician Recognition Week is coming!
Here at the National Association of Nephrology Technicians/Technologists, we are preparing for National Dialysis Technician Recognition Week for NCTs and NBTs, which starts 14 October 2018. There is so much you can do to express appreciation for the people who work for your organization, and we thought it would be a good idea to share some of our ideas.
It’s essential to make recognition, including rewards, part of your everyday culture. But that doesn’t mean National Dialysis Technician National Recognition Week should go unnoticed. These extra-special perks will remind all your NCTs and NBTs how much you care.

TopNANT and AAKP are Teaming Up to Celebrate YOU!
The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP), the largest fully independent kidney patient organization in the U.S. is proud to partner with the NANT to celebrate the upcoming National Dialysis Technician Week (October 14-20). Leading up to this week, AAKP and NANT will be partnering on a number of activities to raise awareness, so join the celebration in honoring the special relationship between Dialysis Technicians and Patients!
- Did you know AAKP offers FREE membership for kidney patients and family members? AAKP and NANT encourage you to take a few moments to let your patients know what a great resource AAKP is for education, advocacy, patient engagement and being a part of a community of fellow patients sharing similar experiences. Learn more at www.aakp.org/join.
- Did you know AAKP offers Healthcare Professional membership for only $45/year? By becoming a part of AAKP, you’ll be supporting the patients you care for and will be kept up to date on all the programs, activities and opportunities AAKP makes available to professionals and patients! Learn more at www.aakp.org/join.
- A picture can say a thousand words – so send AAKP a selfie of you and your patients! We’ll post across our social media platforms during National Dialysis Technician Week to honor all the technicians that give so much of themselves to their patients. Send pictures to Deborah Pelaez, AAKP Marketing and Communications Manager, at dpelaez@aakp.org.
