Board of Directors Spotlight: NANT Southwest RVP - Lacey Brown

Fresenius Kidney Care
NANT Southwest RVP

My name is Lacey Brown, I am the Southwest Regional Vice-President for NANT. I work for Fresenius Medical Care and my title is Regional Lead PCT/ PCT3 for the North Texas and Waco area. When I began my dialysis career 18 years ago, I never would have imagined that I would be working directly for the Regional Vice President of my area. I enjoy my career even more now. How I was able to get where I am today was, I made myself available for any new trainings or open shifts that came available. Doing this helped me to meet many managers all over the region. Once the position became available, I knew I had to apply. I love sharing my knowledge with others and helping with training new staff members. Also joining NANT helped meet so many new people across the country and listening to their stories about working in this industry is inspiring. The best advice I can give is to
  • make yourself available and it'll help you stand out
  • don't be afraid to put yourself out there
  • take a chance and go pick up shifts at other clinics
  • advocate for yourself
  • do not be scared to ask for help on reaching your goals
  • tell anyone with a listening ear what your goals are and
  • always be open for advice.
