August 1st ASNKidney Webinar: Non-medical Factors that Contribute to Increased Infection
ASN is excited to share an update that the 4th session in the ASN Project Firstline Decreasing the Risk of Dialysis-Related Infections Education Series will broadcast on August 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The session is titled What We Have Learned from Patients and Care-Partners and incorporates input heard during the focus group session held by this Steering Committee last August. This session highlights patient perspectives on non-medical factors that could contribute to increased risk of infection in people on dialysis. Dr. Priya Nori will moderate the session and an interdisciplinary team including a nephrologist (Dana Mitchell), a nurse (Deborah Stamps), and a kidney disease survivor (Quin Taylor) will discuss three clinical vignettes illustrating patient perspectives and share strategies to reduce infection risk for people on dialysis. During the live broadcast session, the interdisciplinary panelists will be in the chat to ask and answer attendee questions in this interactive session.
