Editorial Content Producer (part time)
Capitol Broadcasting Company
Individual to generate content for the CBC Opinion web-page and related social media channels. Duties include the collection, organization and presentation of editorials, columns, cartoons and other content as assigned. Producer will also generate social media content, set up and coordinate interviews, solicit and manage third-party content, and provide occasional research assistance for the CBC Opinion Editor.
Knowledge of web content management software is required along with strong organizational and communication skills. Five years’ experience in print or broadcast journalism is preferred along with knowledge of North Carolina state government and the state’s legislative process. This is a part-time position; approximately 20 hours per week. A pre-employment drug pre-screening is required.
