Account Executive

WBTW is looking for a seasoned and experienced Account Executive with a proven track record of success in generating revenue from agency, new business and digital accounts as well as growing local direct business. This position is in the Florence, SC News 13 Sales Office.
The Account Executive works within established Sales Department guidelines to increase sales volume with assigned accounts, aggressively seeks new customers for both TV and eMedia business, executes plans and strategies set forth by sales management, maintains awareness of the competition, and maintains visibility in the community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
Establishes credible relationships with local business community.
Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.
Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.
Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media.
Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
College degree and 2 years business to business sales experience preferred. EOE Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled. Background screen required.

Requirements:
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as ability to maintain confidentiality. Access to daily use of personal vehicle transportation; valid drivers license. Knowledge of personal computers to include word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to learn new systems. Ability to take directions. Ability to work well with others as a team player is key. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Additional Information:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least two years of business to business sales experience preferred. Compensated on a commission basis.
