NCDA Past-President Elected now ACA's President-Elect-Elect

Dr. Robert L. Smith has been elected to serve as the American Counseling Association’s 63rd President. Dr. Smith has served as a volunteer leader at the branch, division and national levels. Robert is the Department Chair and a Professor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and his Ed.S. from Western Michigan University. Robert has been the President of IAMFC and NCDA, active with the Texas Counseling Association, and is the IAMFC executive director. Robert will begin his term as President-Elect on July 1, 2013 and he will assume the role of ACA President on July 1, 2014.
