William R (Bill) Burnette Jr

Bill is the founder of Burnette Capital which specializes in private equity syndication of real estate based assets and operating enterprises.  He has raised private equity funds to develop and operate self storage facilities in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, PODS(Portable On Demand Storage) franchises in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Connecticut, Rhode island, and Massachusetts , and commercial and industrial properties.

Bill attended Norfolk Collegiate School, Roanoke College, where he was a member of the mens lacrosse team, and East Carolina University.  He is a native of Hampton Roads. 

Bill serves on the board of the Virginia Beach Forum and Military Aviation Museum; He has served as on the board of the alumni association of Norfolk Collegiate School, East Carolina University Alumni Association board of directors and the PODS franchise association board of directors.  He is a 30-year volunteer with the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department and has been a Senior Ski Patroller at Snowshoe Mountain for 20 years.

Bill holds an instrument multi engine rating with the FAA and has accumulated over 2000 hours of flight time.   He lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Michelle and their two children, Will 12(his co pilot) and Abbie 8.
