CMS Releases Physician Fee Schedule Rule

CMS released the CY 2017 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) proposed rule last week. APMA will provide feedback via comments to CMS to ensure podiatrists’ interests are represented. Of important note, CMS did implement the proposed X-ray technology incentives required by Congress. APMA has expressed serious concerns about the undue burden this X-ray rule will place on rural, solo, and small group practices via letter, and will continue to fight on this issue.
