Coding for a Weil Osteotomy and Plantar Plate

CPT coding for a weil osteotomy plus plantar plate repair?

 

 For a weil osteotomy:

• 28308: Osteotomy, with or without lengthening, shortening or angular correction, metatarsal; other than first metatarsal, each

For plantar plate repair:

• 28313: Reconstruction, angular deformity of toe, soft tissue procedures only (e.g., overlapping second toe, fifth toe, curly toes) 

28308 would be coded as the primary surgical procedure and 28313 would have modifier-59 appended as the surgical procedure with lower RVUs when billed with the osteotomy.
