Good Morning, I have a question pertaining CPT 14350, filleted finger/toe flap. I perform a lot of limb salvage, much of which are partial great or lesser toe amps. Typical once re-vasc I try to preserve as much of the toe as I can. Typically amputating at PIPJ and partially resecting the proximal phalanx I use the viable medial, plantar or dorsal flap closure. Is it acceptable to bill for filleted toe flap in conjunction with amputation code(s), or is one global to the other. Thanks!
As per current NCCI edits from CMS, you can bill for an amputation code along with CPT 14350. The procedures are not considered inclusive and can be billed together without being denied as global.
