Correct Billing for Nail Avulsion and Cauterization of the Granuloma with AgNO3

I had a patient with an ingrown nail left hallux with associated pyogenic granuloma(L60.0 and L98.0) .I avulsed the nail and cauterized the granuloma with AgNO3 How is this billed?

For the nail avulsion, the following CPT code should be billed with the appropriate -T modifier for the digit the procedure was performed on:

• 11730 (Avulsion of nail plate, partial or complete, simple; single)

Cauterization is included in the payment for the nail avulsion- this service or any of the chemicals used in the process is not reimbursed separately and does not have a defined procedure code.
