Sources for Checking Same/Similar DME

sources to identify previous DME for patient?

There are two ways a provider can check to see if a patient has received a same/similar device from another provider:

-Using the Noridian DME MAC A website, or

-Contacting the IVR

Either source of information will give you the next time the patient will be eligible for an item through Medicare. The only pieces of information needed are the HCPCS codes that will be billed, and basic patient information (MBI, name and DOB).
