Deletion of CPT 99334 and Codes Used to Bill Instead

Effective January 1 2023, any Medicare insurance is no longer accepting cpt code 99334. I visit custodial homes and they are telling us to use a new code 99341 to 99350? which means they have to be seen in their private residence which is not the case because I see them in the custodial homes. Please advise on how to bill visits?

Effective January 2023, CPT codes 99324-99337 for custodial care home visits have been deleted. The definition of CPT codes 99341-99350 have been revised effective the start of the new year. The code series now represents more than private home visits. The revised definition now includes homes, custodial care facilities, assisted living, and residential substance abuse treatment facilities. CPT 99341-99350 have been revised to pay claims with the appropriate POS code that represent the expanded types of locations that are now covered under this E&M code series.
