Grassroots Video – “I’m Farming and I Grow It” – Puts Media Spotlight on Agriculture

Positive Message of Agriculture Goes Viral

Earlier this week, we posted the “I’m Farming and I Grow It” video (click here to view the video) link on the Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) Facebook page (if you haven’t liked the page yet, please open the link and click the “Like” icon), and we weren’t the only ones sharing this video. The video now has nearly 1.6 million hits and has been featured in national media, including Good Morning America, Fox and Friends, and CNN, as well as several Kansas media outlets and publications. And, this morning, the Peterson brothers made their first national media appearance on Fox News in New York – click here to view the footage.

Gregory, Nathan and Kendal Peterson recruited their 11-year-old sister to film a video to spread a positive message and passion for agriculture. In addition to the video, they’ve also recently launched a Faceboook page – click here and “Like” the page to show your support.

This video is a great example of how the agriculture industry can utilize social media to truly spread the positive message of agriculture to the nation, and even the world. In fact, a woman commented on the YouTube page that this video was promoted in a national publication in England!

If you haven’t already shared this video, please do so by sharing it (you can access it on the OABA Facebook page) on your personal and/or company Facebook page, by emailing it your friends/family/colleagues, etc. Help us spread this positive message!
