Ohio FFA Seeking Judges for State Proficiency Interviews

The Ohio FFA Association has begun the process of identifying the next round of national finalists and winners from Ohio. The association is seeking judges to participate in the final step of the evaluation process to help select state award winners.

The top four applications in each proficiency award area will be interviewed on Thursday, May 4, 2017, during the Ohio FFA Convention. For the past several years, state proficiency award finalists have been required to have a display highlighting his or her supervised agricultural experience program. Since the state proficiency award finalists are required to set-up a display, the student interviews will be infused into this process.

The interviews will be 10-12 minutes in duration and will begin with an orientation meeting at 8:30 a.m. - it is anticipated that each committee will be interviewing three different proficiency award areas. At the conclusion of the interview process, there will be a Recognition Luncheon involving students, sponsors, and judges as a small token of our thanks and appreciation. Therefore, one can anticipate a commitment from 8:30 am – 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017.

If you are interested in participating in the State Proficiency Award interview process at the Ohio FFA Convention, please indicate by completing this page, and returning it to the Ohio FFA Association by March 10, 2017.
