The Ohio AgriBusiness Association will hold its annual Industry Conference Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, 2019 at the Columbus Marriott Northwest, providing education and networking opportunities for agribusiness professionals.

This will be the seventh year the Industry Conference has been held, with more than 350 industry professionals attending the 2018 event.

“The annual OABA Industry Conference is an exceptional event providing agribusiness professionals an opportunity to sharpen their skills and interact with experts on current agricultural issues in Ohio,” said Chris Henney, OABA president and CEO. “At this year’s conference, agribusiness professionals will share advancements, issues and opportunities in the industry, and engage participants to ‘chart their course’ in an ever-changing environment.”

During general sessions and breakouts, attendees will navigate the future of the agriculture industry with leading experts. Topics include economic outlook, trade, trust and transparency, weeds, insects, nutrient management, transportation, technology, climate trends, risk management, and more.

The Industry Networking Dinner on Jan. 31 will feature keynote speaker Thomas A. Balzer, president and CEO of the Ohio Trucking Association. Balzer will explore leadership lessons learned through a most unconventional method, titled “Leadership Lessons I Learned by Being a Couch Potato.”

Continuing education units (CEUs) are available for both Certified Crop Advisers and state licensed pesticide applicators that attend the conference. An agenda is available at www.oaba.net/events_conference.

All-inclusive registration for the event covers admission to both days of educational programming, all meals, including the Industry Networking Reception & Dinner and the OABA Annual Meeting. Registration fees are as follows:

  • Member: $275 ($350 after Jan. 15, 2019)
  • Non-Member: $425 ($500 after Jan. 15, 2019)
