Support for H.R.4288: The Agricultural Labeling Uniformity Act

The Agricultural Labeling Uniformity Act provides legislative clarity that while states have every right to build on the federal government's baseline regulations, they should not have the ability to contradict the scientific findings of EPA. The act provides certainty that the tools supporting modern agriculture and the supply chain will remain safe and available.

OABA Signs Letter of Support for Main Street Tax Certainty Act of 2023

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association recently signed a letter of support for the Main Street Tax Certainty Act of 2023 to make permanent the 20-percent deduction for small- and individually-owned businesses (Section 199A), providing certainty to the millions of S corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships that rely on the Section 199A deduction to remain competitive both here and overseas.

OABA Signs Letter of Support for Agricultural Labeling Uniformity Act

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association recently signed a letter of support for the Agricultural Labeling Uniformity Act, expressing concern with recent misinterpretations of long-standing policy regarding the regulation and labeling of pesticide products, as some states have begun to regulate pesticides in a manner contradicting decades of scientific guidance from the Environmental Protection Agency.

OABA Signs Letter of Support for Proposed Rule to Modify U.S. Standards for Soybeans

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association recently signed comments submitted to FGIS on the proposal to revise the U.S. Standards for Soybeans by removing SBOC as an official grading factor and revising the table of Grade Limits and Breakpoints for Soybeans. Overall, 43 national and regional/state affiliate organizations signed the letter.
