OABA Signs Letter to US EPA Sharing Concerns Regarding Recent Objection to Provision in Draft NPDES Permit for City of Euclid

OABA recently joined with the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association and the Ohio Soybean Association to share concerns regarding the US EPA’s recent objection to a specific provision in the draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit that Ohio EPA developed for the City of Euclid.

OABA Signs Letter to Congress Supporting Nomination of Taylor for USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs

OABA, along with nearly 100 state and national associations, signed on to a letter to Congress expressing support for the nomination of Oregon Department of Agriculture Director Alexis Taylor to serve as the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs.

OABA Signs Letter to Congress Supporting H.R. 7266

OABA, with more than 150 state and national associations, signed on to a letter to Congress expressing support for H.R. 7266. The bill would amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to prohibit the local regulation of pesticide use, introduced by Representative Rodney Davis.

OABA Applauds EPA's Expansion of Enlist Products to Additional Counties for 2022 Growing Season

Now available for use in all Ohio Counties

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association applauds the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its recent approval of Enlist One and Enlist Duo for use in 134 additional counties, which now includes all 88 counties in Ohio. Through use of sound science and rational thought, the EPA's decision allows Ohio's farmers immediate access to a viable and effective product.

Gov. DeWine Releases Second Annual H2Ohio Report

Governor DeWine's office is pleased to release the second annual H2Ohio report, which outlines what projects were undertaken in year two of the program. The work is performed through the Ohio Department of Agriculture in partnership with the Soil & Water Conservation Districts and the Ohio Agricultural Conservation Initiative to encourage producers to enroll in H2Ohio and implement conservation practices—Best Management Practices—on their fields.
