Ohio Medicaid Releases Q&A on Implementing New ICD-10

The tenth revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) will soon replace the current code set, ICD-9, and all HIPAA-covered entities must be compliant effective October 1, 2014.

To assist providers and payers affected by ICD-10, the Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Plans have released a Q+A document. This document provides basic information on preparation for ICD-10 implementation in order to avoid disruptions in claims processing and delays of reimbursement.
