Do Your Employees Know They Have a "Right to Know?"

Publisher: OADA
Year: 2020

Original Air Date:  February 27, 2020

Presented by OADA, with Adam Crowell from ComplyNet

Do you provide your employees with hazard communication, or "right to know" training? How often? What about the employee that was hired last week? How confident are you that your employee's know what a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is? That they know what to use when handling a hazardous chemical, or how to react when exposed? That they know where each SDS can be found at the time of an OSHA inspection?

In this webinar, presented by OADA's endorsed provider of environmental Health & Safety services, ComplyNet, your employees "right to know" about the hazards that they are exposed to in the workplace will be discussed, along with how to comply with the legal requirement that employers effectively make employees aware of these hazards and provide employees with the information they need to work safely. Specifically, we will focus on the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Hazard Communication Standard, which requires that employers, such as dealerships, develop a comprehensive program to inform employees of hazards they may encounter in the workplace and also provide employees with training in the use and proper handling of products containing hazardous chemicals.
