Ohio Board of Pharmacy Accepting Applications for Home Medical Services Advisory Council

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy issued the following message on Dec. 22, 2017:

The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in becoming a member of the Home Medical Services Advisory Council. The purpose of the council is to advise the Board on issues relating to the provision of home medical equipment services.

The application can be accessed by visiting: www.pharmacy.ohio.gov/council.  To be considered for the council, please submit the application and current resume or curriculum vitae by January 25, 2018. Applicants will be notified of their selection in February.

The Home Medical Services Advisory Council was created as part of a board consolidation measure included in the state’s main operating budget (H.B. 49).  Effective January 21, 2018, the licensure and regulation of home medical equipment service providers is being transitioned from the Ohio Respiratory Care Board to the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
