OAPA Newsletter - CORRECTION with Regard to Supervision Agreements

In the June Newsletter OAPA incorrectly assumed that the emergency clause in HB111 applied to the section on Supervision Agreements.  It does NOT.  The new filing requirements will not go into effect until 90 days from now.

The Medical Board has told OAPA the following:

"The Medical Board will accept renewals of supervision agreements, but is not requiring current agreements to be renewed between now and the effective date of HB 111.

Current Section 4730.19(D), ORC, requires that the supervision agreement be kept in the records of the supervising physician.  That requirement is not changed by HB 111.  The Medical Board will accept new supervision agreements, but is not requiring them to be filed with the Medical Board between now and the effective date of HB 111.  The forms on the website continue to be available."
