Bright Heart Health


Bright Heart Health is the first telemedicine Intensive Outpatient Program and Medication-Assisted Treatment providing services to men and women with substance use disorders and potentially other co-occurring disorders across the United States. The MAT provider works directly with clients to provide medication therapy and treatment. Providers will conduct medical evaluations of clients to ensure appropriateness for prescribing buprenorphine, oversee medication induction, manage medications, evaluate patient risk based on medical or mental health conditions; as well as work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of providers for substance abuse treatment.

Bright Heart Health will compensate providers to obtain their Data2000 Waiver.

- Provide medical assessment of clients for appropriateness of buprenorphine

- Collaborate with Care Coordinators on scheduling, referrals, client care support

- Prescribe buprenorphine & refill prescriptions

- Meet with clients to alter medication therapy based on client needs, treatment progress, drug screens or clinical judgment

- Conduct pain assessments

- Conduct initial drug screen and review drug screen reults

- Interpret labs and other medical evaluations from external providers

- Review symptomatology and therapy progress to treatment, and recommend changes to care

- Maintain Data2000 Certification

- Ensure that required medical record documentation is completed in a timely and according to Bright Heart Health policy and procedures

- Maintain licensure status in good standing

- Be compliant with regulations governing patient confidentiality requirements

- Adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 standards
