Physician Assistant Didactic Faculty (2)

Lawrence Technological University, a renowned pioneer in the “theory and practice” mode of education, is seeking two didactic faculty positions to be a part of the newly established master’s degree in physician assistant studies. The first cohort of students is expected to be admitted in Fall 2022. The PA program will complement the existing Nursing program and is a part of growing emphasis on health-related academic programs at LTU.

Roles and responsibilities: The Physician Assistant Program didactic Assistant Professor positions (tenure-track) will involve teaching, advising, and mentoring of physician assistant students in classroom, clinical, and other settings. The faculty will actively assist in the admissions and selection process, program organization and development, assessment, planning, administration, and management and will participate in continuous review and analysis of the program’s effectiveness in preparation for program assessment by accreditation bodies and others.

Qualifications: The successful candidates must have a M.S. in physician assistant studies or an equivalent degree from an accredited physician assistant training program and certification by NCCPA. Current licensure or eligibility for Michigan licensure is required. Two or more years full-time clinical experience as a physician assistant. Additionally, teaching experience in classroom and/or clinical setting in an institution of higher learning is highly desirable. Candidates with program administrative or experience will be preferred. Excellent organizational, and oral and written communication skills are expected.
