Position................ Physician Assistant
JobDescription.......... UC Physicians Inc., Department of Orthopaedics Spine Division is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to practice at multiple site locations in Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Routine local travel between practice sites is required.
Responsibilities of this position include:
-Rounding on postoperative patients, some weekend rounding required.
-Initiate orders needed for patient care.
-Work one-on-one with an orthopaedic spine surgeon.
-Assist in operating room primarily with spine surgery and some general orthopaedic cases.
-Actively participate in the discharge process.
-Assist and independently bill for clinic patients.
-Participate in the post-operative care of patients.
-Provides continuity of care, improving quality of care to patients.
-Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the State of Ohio Medical Board which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program. This position requires a minimum of five years of previous experience. It is preferred for candidates to have a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Prescription Authority and prior Spine and/or Orthopaedic Surgery experience.
