Officialship, Lucas County, Ohio

Court Reporter Salary:  $29.84 per hour (35 hours weekly)

Position Description:  Creates a verbatim record of court proceedings.  Prepares verbatim transcripts when ordered by the Court, counsel, or party to any proceeding, in a timely and professional manner. Marks and maintains custody of exhibits both during and after completion of court proceedings and delivers contraband or valuable exhibits to custody of court deputies. 

Minimum Posting Requirements:

  • Education/Training:  Minimum of a High School Diploma with court reporting training; Associate’s Degree with court reporting training preferred. Must have Registered Professional Certification or obtain within one year of employment.  Must maintain Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) Certification.
     
  • Experience/Knowledge/Background:  Minimum three (3) years of reporting experience.  Extensive in-court experience is preferred; freelance experience is acceptable. Knowledge of the Court System preferred.
