COLUMBUS -- Long-time public servant Lynn Slaby will not seek a second term on the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio when his term expires in April.

In a lettr to Gov. John Kasich delivered this morning, Slaby wrote that "after much thought and many prayers, my wife and I believe it is time for me to move on to another adventure in our lives."

A Cuyahoga Falls native, Slaby has served on the commission since April 2012.

Previously, he served as a judge on the Ninth District Court of Appeals.  He was the Summit County prosecutor for 14 years and served in the Ohio House of Representatives as well.
