NCTA Offers "Take Control" VOD Demonstration

Uplink of VOD Parental Control Demonstrations for "Take Control. It's Easy."



Next Tuesday, July 12, 2005 the NCTA will be distributing via satellite uplink two video demonstrations of parental controls as a part of the industry's "Take Control. It's Easy." customer education initiative. Intended to run primarily on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms, the demonstrations could also be used on local origination channels should you wish. Included in the feed will be two parental control video demonstrations, each running approximately nine minutes -- one using Motorola set top box technology and the other with Scientific Atlanta technology. Also included in the satellite feed will be a 30-second "tune-in" spot which can be used to promote the availability of the VOD demonstrations on barker channels and local avails. Each of the demonstrations and the spot will run twice during the hour-long feed.
