OCTA Creates Operator Tool Kit for New Franchise Law

OCTA Creates State-Issued Franchising
"Operator Toolkit"

Documents created in connection with
September 24th effective date of Ohio's
New VSA Law now available online

To assist in making the transition to the state-issued franchise scheme enacted under SB 117, the OCTA has created an online "Operator Tool Kit" for our members. The OCTA has worked with Jay Ireland at Davis, Wright, Tremaine to prepare a "primer" on the new law and developed model letters, ordinances and other documents that you may find of use as you navigate these new waters.

We have prepared these documents to cover a range of scenarios that may arise under the new law. If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to contact the OCTA. In addition, we are planning a VSA Law Update during the Ohio Cable Institute on October 18th. We encourage you to attend the Institute and participate in this session, where we will assess the law's impact on our industry in its first month.
