Building an MIH-Community Paramedic Program Workshop

Presenter: Dan Swayze, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Center for Emergency Medicine of Western Pennsylvania
This presentation is designed as a small group workshop and is appropriate for EMS administrators and leaders.
During this workshop, participants will collaborate with other students to create a custom community paramedic program in response to a fictitious grant opportunity. During the program, Dr. Swayze will walk students through the critical steps to designing and implementing a successful community paramedic program. The process starts with conducting a needs assessment and ends with developing operational guidelines and a reasonable budget and pricing model that participants can use when they return home.
