Training is the backbone of the fire service, essential to keeping firefighters safe at emergency scenes and ensuring crews operate efficiently and effectively. Most departments do a fairly good job training on tactics. But too many fire departments have a critical vulnerability in their training programs—they are not training on department policies.

In this session, we will highlight the importance of training on organizational policies. We’ll explore how the failure to train on policy exposes fire departments to risk, and how policy training enhances compliance and firefighter safety. Attendees will learn how to make policy training interesting and effective.

You’ll learn:

• The difference between policies, standard operating procedures/guidelines, and standing orders
• Different policy training methods
• How to prioritize which policies to train on
• How effective policy training can enhance organizational excellence

This webinar is presented by Lexipol.
