Lebanon Fire Dision

The city of Lebanon, a growing community located 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati in Warren County, is accepting applications for the position of shift captain in the Fire Division.  The Lebanon Fire Division is a combination department with 11 full-time and 50 part-time personnel operating from two fire stations and has an ISO rating of 4.  The division provides fire and EMS services to 20,000 residents covering 13 square miles, including five industrial parks.  The shift captain will serve as a shift commander with overall supervisory responsibility for emergency response to fire, EMS and other emergencies.  This key leadership position will require the successful applicant to demonstrate proven leadership and communication skills.  Applicants should have 10 years of progressive, full-time fire service experience with five or more years of supervisory experience (i.e. lieutenant or captain).  Applicants must possess the following Ohio certifications: Firefighter II, EMT-P, CFSI, Fire or EMS Instructor and a valid Ohio Operator’s License.  Applicants must also possess a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, Fire Administration, Public Safety Management, Business Administration or a related field.  Additional information about the city can be found at www.lebanonohio.gov.
