The Lancaster Fire Department is looking to hire multiple fulltime firefighter paramedic positions. Applicants must have Ohio Firefighter II and Ohio Paramedic certification by time of appointment. Starting salary $52,680/year and after 5 years $69,151/year.

PARTIAL DUTIES: Under supervision during an assigned shift:

• attend to fires and other emergencies to which the company responds
• operate firefighting equipment, medical rescue and other equipment in the extinguishing of fires and aiding in the protection of life and property
• perform work involved in receiving, transmitting, and recording fire and EMS information
• receive fire, emergency medical technician and/or paramedic training and/or other training as required
• attain necessary certifications and maintain all certifications as required
• participate in drills and other training as assigned
• make and report on fire prevention inspections
• assist in keeping the stations in a clean and orderly condition
• keep necessary records and make reports
• perform all other related work and special duties as required by a superior officer 

Firefighters shall be responsible for the care and operation of equipment and shall take charge in the absence of a superior officer.
