Notification of Death - James R. Minges

OFDA received word this morning that Jim Minges, age 81, died Friday, August 4, 2006 in Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Minges was a licensed funeral director in the state of Ohio for 57 years. He began his career in 1949 at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home in Cincinnati and established Minges Funeral Home in Harrison, OH in 1989. He was a member of the Greater Cincinnati Funeral Service Association and the Ohio Funeral Director's Association.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary; six children, Mary Ann Minges, Mark Minges (Robin Grierson), Tim (Penny) Minges, Pete (Debbie) Minges, Jane Minges (Larry Keating) and Sue (Marc) Polanka; 10 grandchildren; and three brothers.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison, Cincinnati, OH 45211-5642. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Catharine of Sienna Catholic Church and will be celebrated on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Miamitown Cemetery.
