Notification of Death - Virginia W. Toothman

OFDA received word this afternoon that Virginia W. Toothman, 84, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died May 15, 2007 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville.

She was born October 15, 1922 in McMechen, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Daniel and Tena Belle Keller Wilson.

Virginia was a former owner and operator of Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg. She was a member of Jacobsburg United Methodist Church where she served as former Historian, Sunday School Teacher, and Lay Leader. She was a 1940 graduate of Wheeling High School. Virginia was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Glencoe American Legion Auxiliary #632; and a member of Weyer Chapter #515, Order of Eastern Star at Centerville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William "Bill" Toothman; and a brother, Hobert J. Wilson.

Surviving are her children, Wilson L. (Linda) Toothman , Portia A. (Conrad) Heydle, Susan J. (Larry) Vicen and Clark T. (Jean Ann) Toothman; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Schroeder and Eula Wilson; nine grandchildren, Denise (A.C.) Wiethe, Billy (Cami) Toothman and Jeff (Regan) Toothman, Corinna Heydle, Scott Heydle and Sarah Heydle, Kayla Toothman, Valerie Toothman and Michelle Toothman; seven great grandchildren, Alli, Chase, Rhyanna, Lexi, Taylor, Abbey and Wyatt; several nieces and nephews.

The Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg handled the arrangements. Burial followed in Jacobsburg Cemetery.
