Bernice A. Crispin

OFDA received word this afternoon that Bernice A. Crispin, 102, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Mrs. Crispin was the mother of Major Crispin, of the Rutherford Funeral Homes and Crematories, Powell.

Mrs. Crispin was a member of Eastern Star, D.A.R. Ann Simpson Chapter, Maennerchoir Society, Gourmet Society and Kiwaniannes. She graduated from South High School in 1923 and retired from General Hotel Supply Co. where she was President and Vice President.

Preceded in death by husband Madeira "Cris" Crispin. She is survived by sons, Robin (Nancy) and Major (Carolyn); and daughters, Darcy (David) Fortner and Sherry (Ronald) Hay; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; nephews and niece.

She was also a 60+ year member of St. John Lutheran Church, 2745 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Friends may call 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy Street, (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/ 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, Ohio 43065. Burial Browns Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg, OH.
