Obituary for Mary Diane Gutu

Sister of David Hicks, Secretary of the Ohio Embalmers Association

Mary Diane Gutu (nee Hicks), devoted wife of Patrick Gutu, dear mother of Sydney, Trevor and Thad, loving mammie to Gionni Hicks, aggravating but loving sister to Cindy (Tom) Larson, Sherry Diehl and David (Julie) Hicks, crazy aunt to Kelly, Keith (Amanda), Katie and Kurt Larson, Kyle (Cathy) Diehl, Andrew, Adam and John Hicks, also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Roger and Loraine Hicks. Diane brought kindness, joy and laughter to so many people in their lives, and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and church family at the Mill Road Church of Christ. Passed away May 5, 2021, at the age of 49 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at Hodapp Funeral Home 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. Liberty Twp., OH 45044 from 5 p.m. until funeral services at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Diane Gutu Boys Educational Fund.
