General Session & Award Luncheon

LOCATION & TIME CHANGE - Registration Closed

Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center

OJFSDA is pleased to announce that we will hold our first in-person General Session since the onset of the pandemic on Friday, June 11, 2021 starting at 9:30AM at Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center (100 Green Meadows Drive South, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035).

A significant portion of this general membership meeting will be spent sharing information on the federal funds available to counties and county agencies through the American Rescue Plan and beginning a peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and promising practices to consider.

Following the meeting, we will be honoring 2020 Outstanding CDJFS Director of the Year award recipient, Tim McCartney of Hamilton County, during an award luncheon as we were unable to gather to do so in December.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE EVENT

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED:

It is now more imperative than ever to have an accurate count for the meeting room setup and meals. To obtain this, your online registration* must be submitted HERE no later than Thursday, June 3rd. Given the circumstances, OJFSDA will be unable to accept registrations after this deadline.

*To submit your RSVP, you will need to sign in or create an account before you are able to access and complete the brief registration form.

PROVIDED MEALS:

For those arriving Thursday, June 10th, after further consideration OJFSDA has opted to provide pizza from 6:00-7:00PM for those who do not wish to leave the property for dinner following the Welcome Back Reception. Additionally, while the on-site Pub will not be serving food, it will be open to the public from 6:00-11:00PM for those who wish to utilize it.

If you prefer to gather a group of your peers to go out to dinner at a restaurant in the Polaris or Lewis Center area, we highly advise you to make reservations in advance to ensure the restaurant is able to accommodate your party at your desired time. A listing of Polaris’ dining establishments can be found here.

A continental breakfast and plated lunch will be provided on Friday, June 11th.
