Job Description:

Knox County Department of Job & Family Services is seeking a team-oriented Child Support Case Manager in the Child Support Services Division.

The primary duties of this position are Case Management/Customer Service. The person in this position will manage cases for complex areas of Child Support. Includes, but is not limited to screening applications, processing cases, conducting investigations to locate absent parents, establish paternity, enforce support orders, interview recipients, appear in court and other child support related functions.

The successful candidate will have a combination of training and work experience which indicate they possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform as a Child Support Case Manager. This includes, but is not limited to experience or course work in child support enforcement techniques, strong computer background, knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms, strong math skills, deductive reasoning skills, and good verbal and written communication skills. Child support program experience and college coursework preferred, but not required. Must have regular and predictable attendance and a positive/public service attitude.

A valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and a successfully adjudicated background check are required.

This is a full-time, regular bargaining unit position in pay range 27 with a starting salary of $15.20 per hour. Knox County offers an excellent benefit package, including health insurance, dental/vision, paid vacation (after 1 year of service) and deferred compensation plans.
