JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Family Assistance Division (FAD) determines eligibility for several programs including Ohio Works First (OWF) cash assistance; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamps); Medicaid; Adult Protective Services and subsidized childcare. These programs are designed to strengthen and support individuals and families in gaining self-sufficiency.

Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) is a part of the TANF/OWF framework. CCMEP staff work with low-income individuals to provide intensive employment and training services. The program offers a range of services to help individuals achieve goals related to obtaining employment, increased earnings and/or obtainment of a certificate or credential. CCMEP’s success is based on the customer’s active participation in the program, as well as regular, meaningful engagement by CCMEP staff.

Our dedicated CCMEP Supervisor will:

Oversee compliance and adherence to the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) plan including meeting required outcomes. Supervise the CCMEP unit comprised of CCMEP Program Specialist and CCMEP Case Managers and their assigned tasks of (intakes, assessments, Individual Opportunity Plans - IOP's and Case management workshops, trainings and conferences as needed (e.g. vendor RFP process). Meet with employees on a group and individual basis to discuss or interpret departmental rules, regulations and policies, confers with staff on variety of population eligibility and engagement matters; reviews IOP's/cases for accuracy and timeliness, and ensures quality customer services.

Meet with contracted vendors on an ongoing basis to aid in the development of services, identification of resources and increase enrollment to improve outcomes etc.

Collaborate with other supervisors, managers, staff, representatives from other divisions, to establish guidelines, and coordinate activities related to the FAD Work Activity Initiative.

May make good cause determinations for program participants who are not in compliance; receives, reviews and prepares written correspondence, reports and other documents related to unit operations.

May perform related duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in business, criminal justice, job and family services, social work, sociology, political science, psychology or related discipline and 3 years of experience administering public assistance programs or experience directing the work of others, supervisor training and/or leading projects.

OR Master's Degree in business, criminal justice, job and family services, social work, sociology, political science, psychology or related discipline AND 1 year of experience administering public assistance programs or experience directing the work of others, supervisor training and/or leading projects.

OR alternative, equivalent evidence of the minimum qualifications.
