Alternatives to Opioid Use: Pain Management and Safe Prescribing

PRESENTER: Cleanne Cass, DO
The session will cover proper prescribing of pain medications, alternative therapies, CDC guidelines, Ohio law, OARRS, and the new ED guidelines for prescribing in emergency departments and physician offices. Immediately following the webinar, participants will be directed to a survey website for the post-lecture questions and attestation form. Completion of these items will ensure program attendance and tracking. CME credit will be submitted to the American Osteopathic Association by the OOA.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To participate, you will need a personal computer with a high-speed internet connection and current versions of both QuickTime and Java. For the audio portion, you will need either a phone or speakers connected to your computer.
OU-HCOM Office of Medical Informatics and its Telehealth Department will provide the necessary technology and personnel, plus oversee the equipment setup for the audio/video/interactivity aspects of the live CME production.
