State Loan Repayment App Deadline Is Feb. 1

The 2013 application cycle for the Ohio Physician Loan Repayment Program (OPLRP) is open, and the original deadline has been extended to February 1. OPLRP is designed to recruit or retain primary care physicians within underserved areas.

In exchange for loan repayment assistance, primary care physicians commit to a minimum of two years of practice at an eligible site in a Health Professional Shortage Area or Health Resource Shortage Area, accept Medicare and Medicaid, and otherwise see patients regardless of ability to pay.
