Legal and Regulatory:

Duties of the Committee: To guide and support the development and implementation of advocacy strategies for the Association and to review and advise on legislation and rules impacting the practice of pharmacy to advance and protect pharmacists, technicians, and the profession.

This committee will meet the last Tuesday of every month via Zoom starting on September 24 at 9 a.m.

Member Services and Development:

Duties of committee: To promote the growth and engagement of membership within the Association.

This committee will meet:

Resolution and Bylaws:

Duties of Committee: To collect and review proposed resolutions and changes to the Bylaws of the Association put forward by members and recommends an action to the House of Delegates. To review the Bylaws and recommend modification the House of Delegates to enhance the operations of the Association. To Solicit for resolutions from members by sharing the annual call for resolutions during other committee meetings and via a standard Association communication method. To review previous resolutions to ensure the resolutions align with the current mission and goals of the Association and provide recommendations to the House of Delegates as needed. Make technical and editorial changes (e.g., grammar, punctuation) to ensure accuracy and readability of all resolutions and of the Bylaws.

The Resolutions and Bylaws committee will have at least three (3) meetings for the 2024 to 2025 committee year. One will be held in-person at OPA headquarters in October and two conducted virtually in January and March; other meetings will be held virtually as needed for urgent or emergent situations. Specific date/time availability will be solicited from those who join the Resolutions and Bylaws committee.


Practice Advancement and Innovation:

Duties of the committee: To advance the pharmacy profession by driving, facilitating, and promoting innovation in pharmacist provided care.

Ad Hoc Communications (Previously Public and Professional Relations):

Duties of Committee: To enhance member connection and promote the role of the pharmacists, technicians, and the Association by delivering strategic messaging to members, external stakeholders, and the general public.

This committee will meet:

Ad Hoc Technician Membership Advisory Group:

Duties of Committee: To enhance technician involvement and advocate for the needs of pharmacy technicians by fostering connections within the Association, promoting education and professional growth, and advocating for the advancement of the pharmacy technician profession.

Compounding SIG:

Special Interest Groups are formed to deal with concerns of specialty practices of pharmacy.
