Nominate a Colleague for the Inaugural UNDER 40 Recognition Award
The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) is pleased to announce the first annual UNDER 40 Recognition program. This program recognizes emerging pharmacists' professional achievements and allows them to join the ranks of professionals from a variety of careers who have also earned an award of excellence. By recognizing leaders, we are cultivating an enriched future for the pharmacy profession. In joining forces with various organizations and publications to celebrate Ohio’s “movers and shakers,” OPA would like to recognize deserving individuals who are making a difference in their communities.
Within this program, outstanding pharmacists who have exemplified leadership, excellence, and vision in their practice will be honored as distinguished UNDER 40 award recipients at the 2018 OPA Annual Conference.
UNDER 40 Eligibility Criteria:
- Under 40 years of age as of April 21, 2018
- An OPA member
- A licensed pharmacist
Award recipients must attend the OPA Annual Conference in Columbus Ohio April 20-22, 2018, including the UNDER 40 recognition events on April 21, 2018.
OPA is accepting self-nominations and nominations. The nomination form can be accessed at the link below. The deadline for submitting nominations is November 21, 2017.

After a nomination is received, additional information may be requested from the nominee, and must be returned no later than December 15, 2017. The UNDER 40 Selection Committee will review nominations.
All nominees and nominators will receive written acknowledgment of the final honoree selections between late-February and early-March 2018. Honorees will be invited for a group recognition photo at the OPA Annual Conference on April 21, 2018, may be asked to complete additional information to be published on the OPA website’s UNDER 40 webpage, and will be listed in a post-conference issue of the Ohio Pharmacist journal.
