On-Demand Compounding CPE For Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

A series of Compounding Home-Study On-Demand courses will be hosted on Ohio Pharmacists Foundation’s (OPF) virtual platform, LecturePanda. LecturePanda is the online platform where you will view on-demand CPE videos, complete post-activity quizzes and speaker evaluations. Once each videos has been viewed in full, post-activity quizzes and evaluations completed, you will use the platform to submit credit to the CPE Monitor. After your credit has been claimed and submitted, it will be automatically uploaded to the CPE Monitor by LecturePanda. (Please allow 24 hours for the system to process.)

Beyond-use dates have become a hot topic for compounding pharmacists. This session will review the discussion surrounding non-sterile and sterile beyond-use date appeals, and the importance of beyond-use dating for facilitating workflow efficiencies and patient access to personalized medicine. New requirements for default and extended beyond-use dating according to proposed USP <795> and <797> will be included, as well as what to look for in a stability-indicating study. Attendees will learn how to apply professional judgment in extrapolating stability data for extending beyond-use date.
