HB 679 would modify requirements related to telehealth services

House Bill 679 introduced just two weeks ago passed the House this week and is now headed to the Senate for consideration. This bill would modify several requirements related to telehealth services making it more accessible by both physicians and patients.

The legislation was fast-tracked through the House and Alan Levy, MD, was able to provide comments on behalf of OPPA that the sponsors took into consideration, along with comments and testimony by the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) for a substitute revised bill before it was passed out of committee.
