Joan Faber McAlister wins the 2016 Francine Merritt Award
Congratulations to Joan Faber McAlister who won the prestigious 2016 Francine Merritt Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Lives of Women in Communication. McAlister, the editor of Women’s Studies in Communication, is an associate professor of rhetoric, media, and social change at Drake University. The Francine Merritt Award from the National Communication Association Women’s Caucus recognizes McAlister’s significant contributions through service, mentorship, teaching, and scholarship.
