Cleveland’s Huntington Convention Center Sees Continued Growth

The center is hitting its stride

After five full years of operation, Cleveland’s convention center is hitting its stride, attracting an increasing number of events, visitors and overnight stays in 2018.

Expenses were also higher than expected, and the center’s operating deficit increased nearly 10 percent over last year, as center officials worked to meet increased demand for the facility.

“It was just a great, great year, all in all, for the facility, and we don’t see it slowing down for 2019,” said Ron King, general manager of the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.
